Archiving

Archiving Policy

The E-PUBLISHER committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. The journal employs robust archiving systems and practices to safeguard its academic contributions for current and future use.

  1. Digital Archiving

Publisher implements multiple strategies to maintain a secure and enduring archive of its published articles:

  1. Institutional Repository: All articles are deposited in the journal’s institutional repository, ensuring redundancy and stability.
  2. LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): E-PUBLISHER supports LOCKSS, allowing participating libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
  3. PKP Preservation Network (PN): Articles are preserved through the PKP PN, ensuring long-term access to the journal's content.
  4. Crossref and DOI System: Each article is assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier), which facilitates reliable linking and access to the content, regardless of location.
  5. Open Access Compliance

All published articles are openly accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing readers to download, share, and use the content freely while maintaining proper attribution to the authors and journal.

  1. Backup and Disaster Recovery

The Publisher’s data is regularly backed up and stored on secure servers to protect against accidental loss, hardware failures, or cyberattacks. A disaster recovery plan ensures the rapid restoration of data and services in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

  1. Print Archiving

For additional security and accessibility, selected articles or issues of Publisher may also be archived in print format and stored in partner academic libraries or the journal’s physical archives.

  1. Collaboration with Indexing Platforms

Publisher collaborates with indexing and abstracting services such as Google Scholar, Dimensions, Scopus, and others to ensure global discoverability and redundancy in the storage of its academic content.

  1. Withdrawal and Retraction

In cases where an article is retracted, the journal ensures that:

  • The article remains in the archive with clear retraction notices for transparency.
  • The DOI link points to the retraction notice, preserving the integrity of the scholarly record.
  1. Perpetual Access

Readers, authors, and libraries are guaranteed perpetual access to all published content through JIMS’ archiving policy, which upholds the journal’s mission to promote the dissemination and preservation of knowledge.

This archiving policy ensures that the E-PUBLISHER meets international standards for content preservation, aligning with the expectations of authors, researchers, and institutions worldwide.
