Licence

Licence

The E-PUBLISHER operates under a clearly defined licensing model to ensure that published works are accessible to a wide audience while respecting intellectual property rights and promoting academic integrity. The licensing terms provide authors with the flexibility to retain their rights over their work, while also facilitating the open dissemination of knowledge within the academic community.

Types of Licenses

The PUBLISHER offers its publications under the following license options:

  1. Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License

    • Publisher primarily adopts the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) for all published works.
    • Under this license, authors retain copyright of their work, but grant others the right to share, distribute, and build upon the work for any purpose, even commercially, as long as the original authorship is properly attributed.
    • This license facilitates broad sharing and reuse of academic research, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and the extension of knowledge within and beyond academic circles.

Key Features of CC BY License:

    • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit to the author(s), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made to the work.
    • Reuse and Remix: Others may remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, as long as they provide appropriate credit.
    • No Restrictions on Commercial Use: The work can be used for commercial purposes without any restrictions on the type of use.
  2. Copyright Retention by Authors

    • Authors of articles published in Publisher retain full copyright over their work. This allows them to continue using and disseminating their research in ways they see fit, including posting it on their personal websites, in institutional repositories, or within other scholarly outlets, provided they maintain proper attribution.
    • Authors are also free to republish the article in books or other journals, again with proper citation.
  3. Exclusive Distribution Rights to AUTHOR

    • While authors retain copyright, they grant author the exclusive right to publish, distribute, and make their work available to the public via the journal's website and other platforms where the journal is indexed and disseminated.
    • This ensures that the article is officially recognized and publicly accessible under the terms of the Creative Commons license, facilitating global dissemination.

Open Access Policy

Publisher is committed to open access publishing. All articles published in the journal are freely accessible to readers worldwide, without subscription or paywall restrictions. This aligns with the journal's mission to promote knowledge sharing, foster interdisciplinary research, and support scholarly communication across borders and disciplines.

  • Immediate Open Access: All articles are made available immediately upon publication, ensuring that research is disseminated quickly to maximize its impact.
  • Global Accessibility: As an open access journal, JIMS ensures that its content can be accessed, shared, and used by anyone, anywhere, without financial or institutional barriers.
  • No Subscription Fees: Readers can access all content without needing to pay subscription fees, promoting inclusivity and equal access to scholarly resources.

Author's Rights and Responsibilities

  1. Author's Retention of Rights

    • Authors retain the right to reuse their work in any future publications, including books, presentations, or other journals, provided that the original publication in JIMS is appropriately cited.
    • Authors can also post their work on personal websites or in institutional repositories, as long as they adhere to the terms of the license and attribute the work properly.
  2. Acknowledgment of License

    • Authors must acknowledge the Creative Commons license under which their work is published when reusing or sharing it in any form, ensuring proper credit to the original authors and the journal.
    • Any reuse or redistribution of the work must clearly indicate the terms of the CC BY license, allowing others to understand the conditions of use.
  3. Author's Responsibility for Permissions

    • Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party materials (e.g., images, tables, charts) included in their manuscript are properly licensed or fall under fair use. Authors must obtain the necessary permissions for such materials before submitting their manuscript to JIMS.
    • The journal will not be held liable for any infringement of third-party rights or the failure of authors to secure permissions for copyrighted materials.

Editorial and Publisher’s Rights

  • Editorial Control: While authors retain copyright over their work, the journal reserves the right to exercise editorial control over the format, layout, and presentation of the article as part of the publication process.
  • Distribution: Publisher has the right to distribute, share, and make published works available worldwide through its website and other repositories.
  • Archiving and Indexing: The journal may store articles in digital archives and share them with third-party databases or repositories, ensuring wide indexing and access to the work.

No Warranty or Liability

Publisher and its publisher do not provide any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or legality of the content of published articles. The authors are solely responsible for the content of their manuscripts, and the journal is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the work.

The Publisher adopts a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license for all its published works to promote the free and open dissemination of academic research. Authors retain full copyright while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute their work globally under this open-access model. This licensing framework fosters greater collaboration, knowledge sharing, and academic progress while respecting the intellectual property rights of authors. By making research freely available to the global academic community, e-publisher plays a pivotal role in advancing interdisciplinary scholarship.
