Basic Writing is a comprehensive handbook designed to support first-year students in Indonesia who are learning English as a foreign language. The book serves as a foundational guide, introducing learners to essential principles of writing in English. It is structured to help students gradually build confidence and competence in producing written texts for academic and everyday communication.
The content of this handbook focuses on the core aspects of writing, starting from the most basic components such as the English alphabet, punctuation, and capitalization, and progressing to sentence construction, paragraph development, and short composition writing.
